Freemont Indian State Park

First of all... i have no clue how to flip this picture so that it looks normal, but any way we went to Freemont Indian state Park for Emily first camping trip!!

We hiked all over and saw some cool indian carvings and paintings. There was this one that was a painting of a blanket and it was 16 feet by 4 feet. the story of it was that this Piute indain lady
lost her baby and she couldn't stand that fact that her baby was burried and all alone so she came back and painted a blanket to keep "it" warm.

Hiking all over kind of reminded me of goblin valley. it was so cool all of the different formations of the sand a stuff.

On sunday we had a little mini church and sang hymns and my mom gave a lesson. I helped Shaylee draw hearts all over a paper plate and then she would color them. It was lots of fun.

Memorial Day

This year (as always) we went to Brigham City cemetary to put flowers on my grandparents grave. It was soooo cold this year! The girls (Aunt Silvia, mom and christine) put the flower arangements together. We always bring the flowers from our house and make the arangements there. it's a tradition that was started back when my grandparents were alive. it's nice.

Emily had lots of fun playing with all of the cousins and chasing everyone around. We played "who can see?" a game i made up for all of the little kids. i would say... who can see a... flag or who can see balloons and whoever saw them first would run to them and try to beat everone there and then we would do it again. it sure kept the kids entertained :)

Las Vegas

I went to LV with Emily and my sister and her kids in April so that we could see our cousins from Hawaii that were there doing stuff for Miss USA. We got to see the fountains and do lots of fun things. Christine and i went to a circ show and that was AWESOME!!!

Easter Sunday

On Easter sunday morning when Emily got out of the bath she had a surprize waiting for her!The easter bunny came and brought her eggs that had some flavored marshmellows in them! Boy did she love them!! She shared lots of them with her daddy. :)

It took her a minuet to figure out what the eggs were and that there was something in them.

On Easter Michael and I had to speak in church. It's kind of a funny story how this all came about. Let me tell you... So when we were watching conference i was talking to my dad and asking him how these people can get up and speak to thousands of people and they don't even seem nervous. He said that they probably were nervous, but the more you do it the less scared you become. Michael said that it's cause it is dark and they can't see anyone in the audience. So i went on to say that I get sooo freaked out when i have to speak in front of people and thank goodness that I haven't had to speak in church for almost a year and a half. Then Michael joked that he should call the bishop and tell him that we need to speak.

Well, we went on to watch the rest of confrence and that was that. The next monday (the 6th) i got a phone call and when i answered it, it was the first councelor in the bishopric. He asked me if Michael was home and if he could come and visit us for a minute. Right then i knew i was hosed!! I told him that he could and the second i got off the phone, i ran downstairs and told Michael that he jinxed us and that we were probably speaking in church... sure enough, that is what he wanted!! It's kind of funny how things happen, ya know?

Emily is 1!!!

Wow!! I have a 1 year old!! it's hard to think that it has been that long. We had a fun little birthday party. We did a BBQ and then we sang Happy Birthday to Emily. She wasn't so sure about it all.

After we sang i just let her dive into her cake. At first she didn't really like that she had sticky stuff on her hands, but...

she did like the taste of the frosting!!!

Then she found that there was cake too and likes it as well

Grandma Scoville gave her 2 outfits and some books.

She was showing us all of the things that she got.. she would hold one thing up and then grab another and hold it up.

And her Aunt Christine gave her a little car that she can sit on and drive around. She loooooves it. If you press the flower on the front it sings this little fairy song and she will just sit and press that button over and over and over!! We have only had the toy for one day and i am sooo ready to rip the batteries out so that i don't have to hear that song any more!!

She had had her first cousin "fight" over this toy... and lost!! it was a big hit with all of the kids.

When she is not on top of it, she is pushing it around all over the house and if she gets into a corner and can't move she just starts screaming cause she is mad that it won't move. In this picture she had already gotten mad and then she was trying to lift it up and move it.

What a mess!!!

So Emily loves to eat!! Anything that you put in her mouth, she will just gobble up in seconds. So, the other day i was trying to pick up my house and she was all over the place... pulling pans and cans out of my cupboards and pulling things off shelves. I decided to put her in her chair and i gave her one of those gerber biter biscuts. I had never given her anything big like that to chew on and i wanted to see if she would use her "2" teeth that she has to bite it or scrape it off and eat it. Well... no biting, but she did gum the thing to death!! This is the result!! IT WAS CAKED TO HER FACE!!! She loved it :)

long awaited update...

So as i am sure that everyone knows, Twilight came out this past weekend and yes I bought it! I actually bought the two disk special edition. I think that I have watched that stinkin movie everyday since i got it on Saturday!!! When i saw it in theaters i wasn't too keen on Edward, but he has totally grown on me and yes, he is my new boyfriend!! (Along with Carlisle) I had to double check and ok this with Michael... and ya know what? he's ok with it. What a good guy! :)

I have been fighting a cold for the past 2 weeks now and i passed it onto Emily and Michael. Poor little Emily's nose! It just keeps running. It is totally better to be sick myself than to have a sick baby who can't breathe and is teething!!! I don't sleep much at night. Between clearing her nose and giving her a bottle (she stopped nursing...yeah!!!) and then trying to go back to sleep and just as i do... she wakes up again or Michael gets home from work and wants to talk or my freaking cat comes and lays on my face. oh man, i think some days i am going insane!! I feel like a walking zombie, the days just slip by and i don't remember much!! It kind of sucks. How do people have more than one kid?

We bought a new bed!! It was a much needed thing in my life. Ever since we got married we have been sleeping on this old bed that i got from my grandparents house when they passed away. I think that it is seriously 35 years old!!!! Every time that Michael moved it felt like an earth quake and i would always wake up. So i went and bought a new orthopedic bed and ya know what... the first 3 nights that i slept on it, when i woke up my back hurt!!! what the crap i thought that this was supposed to be a good bed. Well, i am used to it now and i looooove it!!! i think that my old bed was just so crapy that it took some time to get used to it. what a good investment!

I am sooo ready for spring!! i know that it is officially spring, but this 30 degree wheather is not doing any good for me!! it was nice for a week and i got so ready for it, then this...come on good wheather!!!
